DESH PRAVA: FESTIVAL OF PERFORMING ARTS, Anita Ratnam's presentation MAALIE
(mother) was based on works of Nigerian poets, Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe,
Tony Marinho and the poetess Ifi Amadiume. Her presentation includes dance
sections, story telling with use of theatrical props. Multiple rhythms
form the musical spine of the presentation.
